We've been pretty hard on Ahmad Fareed here, so imagine my surprise when I saw him last Saturday on the NBC coverage preliminary to the Preakness. He was the lead announcer.
I guess it was a similar feeling to what I felt when there was none other than Dave Flemming on the early season MLB coverage from Japan, although we've been harder on Fareed than on Dave.
It perhaps isn't quite as prevalent now that Allen's gone from the board, but it seems we just aren't very appreciative here. It's as if we think we are the only ones who know what we're doing, and most other people just don't know how to do their jobs.
Clearly Nelson and Fareed are respected in their fields, even if we don't properly appreciate them here.

NBC is the place for you if you preach leftism and kiss major butt. Well done, Omelette.

You guys are entitled to your opinions. They're apparently in the minority. If his bosses are pleased, I would suggest he continue doing what he's doing, naturally looking for way to keep improving but taking comfort in being appreciated by his bosses.

Nice tin foil hat there. Boly and I are right. Fareed sucks. Just because some liberal idiot at NBC thinks he has the right look and smile doesn't mean he's good at what he does.

No, that wasn't someone faking a post.
I was in Idaho, buying a house.
I posted 'vocally,' and didn't check what I had 'said/written.'
Thus, it came out stupid, and for that, I apologize.
I had new house on my mind.

Randy, I'm not surprised that you think you know more about sports news than the leadership at NBC Sports, but I would be surprised if someone else did.

I knew something was off, Boly. Thanks for clarifying.
Another friend of mine and her husband just this month did the opposite of what you and Candee are doing, and moved BACK to California a year or so after moving to Idaho. Personally I think you and Candee are going the right direction, but I guess everyone is different, so if moving back to California works better for my friends, more power to them.
I myself would be VERY excited if I were moving to Idaho.
Santa Claus lives at the North Pole, of course, but the weather isn't very good there, so he vacations in Idaho-ho-ho. I can see why many would love to live there.

Ive been a sports editor for my college weekly paper. I might know more about sports news and journalism than anyone here. It wouldn't shock me that a sham peddling organization like NBC has morons running their sports division as well as the news. They pick the worst broadcasters in the business and that's an accomplishment

The house is off the way incredible.
One time owner, designer home, for barely more than 1/2 what homes are going for here.
And the people there?
Off the wall nice!
Kids who are respectful, who take their hats off for the National Anthem without being asked, saying "yes, ma'am," and "no sir," without having to be prompted.
No comparison to here where they'd just as soon flip you the bird, or spit on you before considering being nice.
We met lots and lots of people there, at least 3/4 of which were from California and NOT ONE of them said they'd even entertain a thought about moving back!
Not one!
We leave on June 25th, and that won't come soon enough for me

You're not at all biased against NBC, are you Randy?
Speaking of sports journalism, the top journalism school, Medill at Northwestern University, recently opened a Sports Journalism Department headed by my friend and former ESPN personality and writer Josh Adande.
You may remember that while Josh grew up in Southern California, his first pro sporting event was a Giants game at Candlestick.

NBC itself is the biased one in this situation, it's pretty obvious to anyone with any indication of a functional brain.
ESPN is only slightly less biased towards left wing politics. Things might change there now as they have a new person in charge. They had to fire the last guy because they lost lots of viewers and subscribers due to the network pushing politics so aggressively. Hopefully NBC follows suit.

There was a study out on media coverage of Trump in his first 100 days of his presidency. Most of the media coverage was 90% negative or more...and that was BEFORE the special counsel, BEFORE the wall, BEFORE Stormy Daniels, BEFORE the government shutdown, before he had time to do much of anything! They were negative right from the first pitch. Fox was the only fair and balanced network at just a tick over 50% positive. They were after him from the get go and they haven't relented, not even after the Mueller investigation came up empty.
I actually do like Fox Sports...it's a shame they don't have the rights to more major sports.

Did the Meuller investigation come up empty? I thought there were multiple arrests and guilty pleas.

Many of the indictments had ZERO to do with Russia collusion. The heavy hitters that got nailed were largely only prosecuted because they wouldn't play along with Mueller's script. General Flynn was particularly shafted. His life was ruined on a process charge of "lying to the FBI" when many of the agents disputed the charge. Flynn ultimately plead out to save his family from further abuse from the anti-Trump mob.
Bottom line is...no indictments for colluding with Russia...no indictment for obstruction. Regardless of what the media tells you, that is, in prosecutor parlance, the same as exhoneration, especially after a 2 year, $30 million witch hunt. And when all the facts come out, I expect it will be seen that Mueller KNEW there was no collusion long before the probe ended and yet allowed it to continue. And it will also be seen that the whole thing began based on lies and misinformation.

There were indictments and guilty pleas, meaning the investigation certainly didn't come up empty. Weren't there also something like 23 Russians involved? Saying that the investigation came up empty is an empty charge.

Russians did interfere, that was never in question. But no Amerhican has been indicted for aiding them. The only Americans who have been charged were charged with process crimes or for crimes they committed well before the election in their private lives. They only were discovered because Mueller's team tried like heck to dig up dirt on anyone they thought they could flip on Trump. Dispicable tactics.

Rog -- If the tactics were designed to get someone to flip on Trump with lies, they were despicable. If they were designed to get to the truth, they weren't. What you say is true, Randy, even if you can't spell it. But it's hard to destroy an honorable man's life.
One of my best friends had his life destroyed a little over a year ago. He's likely going to prison, and at best he and his wife have lost their dream house on the coast, and their lives will never again be the same. Barbara and I are among the few true friends they still have.
But even though his back had previously been broken by the man he shot, and even though he was provoked into shooting the man, my friend shot an unarmed man (except for a shovel and a camera), and he'll quite possibly go to prison for it. If he goes to prison, he'll likely die there, even if he has a short sentence. His health was already horrible.
I love my friend, but he shouldn't have had the gun. While it didn't literally cost him or anyone (fortunately) his life, it has cost my friend and his extremely kind wife their lives figuratively.
It is a very sad story, but for a moment at least, my friend wasn't an honorable man. And in that instant, his life changed forever.

I'm glad he's gone.
He knows less about baseball than Kelli, and I LIKE Kelli!

Seems that before any one could cite a problem with Obama, the Repubs. were all quoted that their number one job was see to it that Obama was a one term President...there were enough problems with Trump that kept his Repub. opponents busy during the primaries...the tape of his doing what ever he wanted with women, the 2 or 3 bankrupts he filed, the 1000 court dates for shady dealings with people he owed money, the 3 wives and lots of women problems...picture some one else dumb enough to invite his mistress to the same resort that he was going to be there with his wife......the country wants Obamacare and Trump is killing it… there has been many years of passing laws to protect workers which were killed with out a vote.....and what basis did he railroad a new judge into the Supreme Court...Trump said he was #1 as an undergrad and #1 as a Law Grad...trouble is he was far from #1 as an undergrad and his Law school didn't rate their grads...on what basis did he name the guy...on lies or he just didn't give a hoot??? darn now I fell in the trap of write political crap on what is supposed to be a Giants panel...

Since the keepers of the "record" are unrelentingly biased against Trump and perpetuated the Russia hoax for over 2 years with ZERO evidence, not to mention other hoaxes like Covington Catholic, Jussie Smollett, the "manufactured crisis" at the border, among others...I mean do you truly believe THEM?

We don't need to imagine..."tell Vladimir I will have more flexibility AFTER my re-election." THAT is far more like treason, I would say.
