Nurses are certainly NOT rich and I know lots of them who basically say obamacare helps nobody. I love how these tolerant liberals always feel like the "rich" need to be punished. What they just don't get is the rich will always be just fine...when they impose this punishment, the guy who gets the shaft by virtue of trickling down is the poor, little guys.

It's almost as if they think rich people making money precludes them from making any. As if there were only so much money to go around and the rich are taking more than their fair share. What Warren Buffet or Bill Gates make doesn't affect my income at all. More power to them.
Nurses make a good living. Most of them earn every penny. Certainly alot more than most of the guys we talk about here, both in the athletic and political professions.

Perfect timing for this topic. The owner at my work called a meeting today and explained to us that our health insurance is going away, add me to the list of people effected by Obamacare. Now I have to shop for new health care.

Here's betting that it's more expensive and not as good. Just out of curiosity, what do you do for a living?
Hey, here's one for Obama. After half a decade in office, he's discovered that he has a phone and a pen. Careful using that phone, you never know who might be listening.

Interesting comments by Chuck Schumer (also a non-hating NYer)calling for the IRS to "redouble its efforts immediately" to keep Tea Party fundraising in check, explaining that this would help weaken and exploit the conservative movement. Well, at least they've dropped even the pretense of integrity and adhering to the law.

Nice to see Obama lost in his efforts to make The Little Sisters of the Poor forego their faith. His anti-Catholic maandate was defeated 9-0 by the SCOTUS. Spearheading the effort was Obama's own appointee,Sonia Sotomayor. Expect an IRS audit, Sonia.

It's not so much the expense as it is the whole structure of my plan. Before today I had a health insurance account that my employer put $250 into every month. I haven't used barely any of it so the total of that had piled up. At my age that was the perfect plan for me. Now that money is all gone.
And I'm an account manager at restaurant supply company. I got my culinary degree and was a chef for a while, now I'm learning the equipment side of the industry, hoping to one day start my own restaurant.

So though you liked your plan, you didn't get to keep your plan. Not sure you'll take any solace in this, but you're far from alone.

The insurance company and doctors WILL make less because of Obamacare so they should gripe. However we shouldn't care because they've always overcharged and are already rich and will remain that way. I've found that most patients who complain about Obamacare do so because they're ignorant. They assume anything bad is because of Obamacare, because that's what they hear on TV. If a medicine isn't covered, they blame Obama, even though the medicine was never covered in the first place. At the beginning of the year most insurance deductibles start over and the patient doesn't realize he has to pay more until the deductible is reached. They curse Obama when we tell them the price and we all laugh. In fact we make a joke of it at work. I send someone out for coffee for example, and when he gives me my change, I look at it and say, "is that all? The price went up? Freaking Obamacare!" Allen- One of the biggest problems we have is a Dr. shortage. Many more will flee due to the excessive regulations, and poor reimbursement rates of Obamacare. Just one of the problems that Obamacare exacerbates. Profit margins for insurance companies are not as big as many think. Most people who complain about Obamacare do so because it's a fraud that was passed illegally, and that they were lied to about how it affected them. The incompetence in implementing it, and the illegal changes in the law since it's been passed, are further reason for complaint. Another would be the unanticipated rise in premiums and deductibles for many people who were told repeatedly by our President that they could keep their plan and their doctor.. I think anyone not complaining about it is ignorant, or like Don, a head in the sand Obama accolyte. Perhaps your customers figure that since they're paying so much more, and are being inconvenienced so much more maybe the coverage should be better dk...and I am probably the only one who had a son who was a doctor........and we both agreed that having medical care for 100% is better than the 87% you were willing to settle for....but keep on flashing all your lies and sit back and watch the health of our kids improve without putting them into the poor house...and by the way...there will be more doctors as the demand increases thru the coverage of Obama care......there are plenty of kids out there that could qualify for med schools if the industry accepts the notion that we need more doctors and increases their enrollments...

That would be fine if we were going to get 100% coverage Don, but we're not. Due to all the cancellations, we now have less people covered than when Obamacare kicked in.Most of the people that Obama claims are previously uninsured are people renewing their Medicaid. If he ever implements the employer mandate, that problem will increase manyfold. Obama knows what will happen. Heck, people were predicting this disaster long before the bill was passed. Why do you think Obama keeps postponing the employer mandate? Why do you think he's made 29 (illegal) changes to the law since it was passed. Because letting the law rise or fall as written would be political disaster for the Dems. No one could be this incompetent Don. If he is, it's a good thing he lives where he works, otherwise he couldn't find his way home.
The debt, which he just got permission to raise even more, has already put our kids in the poor house. Ask your son about the doctor shortage. I know and speak to alot of doctors, there's just not enough money in it anymore to justify all the trouble. Increased regulations and paperwork, decreased reimbursement rates, all the hoops Obamacare makes them jump through. It's just not worth it. Obamacare is taking a huge chunk out of their wallet. Why put yourself in huge debt to go to all the school to qualify when the payoff isn't that big, and the govt. makes it a huge headache? There will definitely be a demand, but no one to fill it.
Kids health? Sure, let's legalize dope. That will help.
Btw, like the picture.

Don't need, and certainly don't expect an apology Rog. Don's a liberal. If you can't argue the issue, accuse the opposition of lying. It's what they do, no matter how ridiculous it is. Amazing that an Obama supporter would ever stoop to accusing someone else of lying, but liberals seem to have no shame.

dk, you are absolutely wrong, just like all the other Obamamaniacs in the liberal biased mainstream media who endlessly cover up, lie, distort or just ignore any fact that cuts against their boy. When Allen says a law was passed illegally, he refers to those passed by executive fiat, blatantly against the constitution. Why wouldn't the SC be in partnership with Obama when he's responsible for them being there? To clarify, Allen didn't ask for you to apologize and he doesn't expect it. That hypocrite Rog asked for it, even though he does the same thing he asked you to apologize for. In any case, I have yet to see you prove deliberate untruths told by anyone, particularly on the subject of our horrible failure of a president

Dood - yeah but I don't deserve that same courtesy do I? Hypocrite! Rog -- Why do you do this, Randy? I was responding to a specific recent post made by Don eight hours previously. I didn't say you didn't deserve the same courtesy. If you had asked, I would have replied that you absolutely would deserve the same courtesy in the same situation. It was Don's response to Allen (which I quoted) that was wrong -- not the person or persons he said it to. I replied to a post Don had made 8 hours before. You hadn't posted on this topic in half a month. Aren't you being a little paranoid here? If a sports writer had done something like you did, he would have been accused of trying to make up a story where there was none. And why do you have the foolish comment on "stats geeks" under your picture? 26 of the 30 teams now use "stats geeks" to help them make decisions. What is it that you know that the 26 teams don't? It seems to me, Randy, that you're simply looking to stir the pot. Perhaps you can show us otherwise. Read more: sfgiantsmessageboard.proboards.com/thread/2168/marichal-roseboro?page=2#ixzz2t8okN2K7

Randy -- To clarify, Allen didn't ask for you to apologize and he doesn't expect it. That hypocrite Rog asked for it, even though he does the same thing he asked you to apologize for. Rog -- If I say "keep on flashing your lies," please feel free to criticize me. If I say that, I need to stop, think about it, and realize I was VERY wrong to say that. But before you call me a hypocrite, you might want to show us where it was that I said that. I keep thinking that if someone else made the comment, you would react to it a LOT differently than if you thought I was the one who said it. I make mistakes too, but I try hard to make my points with facts, analysis and logic -- not name-calling. Dude, you're seriously going to play the Obama/Holder "dumb" card here? You call me a liar countless times a day, nearly every other post I make. Not that it really bothers me all that much. But for you to criticize someone else for doing basically the same thing you do yourself all the time is ludicrous.

I'm definitely excited about this season. I just saw a projection had the Giants only three games behind the Dodgers. That's not as good as projecting that the Giants would win the NL West, of course, but two teams that are truly within three games of each other could easily see their positions reverse over the course of the season.
I'm not seeing the Giants' pitching bouncing all the way back to when the Giants could ride on its back, but pretty much all the key pitchers HAVE done it in the past. I think the hitting will be improved, with Pablo and Belt being keys. A strong rebound by Morse would be HUGE, and the Giants need Pence to stay the same and Buster to bounce back.
The team lacks depth, so as last season proved, they need to stay healthy.
But take the Giants' pitchers back to what each was in 2011, and suddenly the Giants have a team that should make opponents very nervous.
I'll ask a question here. A bounce back from which player would help the Giants the most? I myself am going to go with Ryan Vogelsong, since he has the furthest to come back. If the Giants could have career average pitching from the first four starters and his average as a Giant from Vogelsong, the pitching could be OK. The bullpen hasn't been quite as good though either.
Here are the career ERA's for the Giants' first four starters and the Giants' ERA for Vogelsong:
Bumgarner 3.08 Cain 3.35 Hudson 3.44 Lincecum 3.46 Vogelsong 3.71
Most of the relievers have fared well as Giants too:
Casilla 2.21 Lopez 2.26 Romo 2.27 Affeldt 2.86
I would take those same numbers from EACH of those guys.

Allen- Obama promised a kickback on Medicaid costs to Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, and a $300 million bribe to Sen. Mary Landrieu of Louisiana. Both illegal. The 29 changes he's made to Obamacare since it was passed? Also illegal. The President simply doesn't have the authority to unilaterally rewrite an established law. To quote numerous people: It's the law of the land.
Partnership with SCOTUS? I've never mentioned it, but now that you bring it up. The law was rewritten by a Supreme Court Justice so it would pass Constitutional muster. Never heard of a justice rewriting a law before. Funny, you'd think a man who taught Constitutional Law would know. Could it be possible that he didn't read the law? Or is he really just that incompetent.
How has Obama helped minorities? Black unemployment (12.1%) is about double the overall rate, and among young blacks it's even worse (in the twenties). And remember, those numbers don't count those who have simply given up. 73% of black children are born to unwed mothers, virtually condemning them to a life of poverty. More minorities live in poverty, and are on Food Stamps and welfare than ever before. The income gap between rich and poor is at an alltime high, and continues to accelerate under Obama. You yourself have said that Obama has deported at an all time high rate. Of course they just turn around and come back, but still.
