Last night's loss ends a very frustrating 2023 season.FZ tried to get by with too many gimmicks and retreads but it came crashing down damn fast once July came around..There is only so far you can go with old retreads who pull a hammy every time they fart and the ridiculous "opener" strategy proved to be disastrous.
Sadly, management won't change a thing..Sure they might exert all their energy in signing a premier player (Ohtani) but they will come up short, wake up too late, and desperately sign any piece of shit left on the board.. This is a dumb organization cheered on by some of the dumbest fans in the country..I don't expect 2024 to be any different in terms of their off season moves, but should be a bit more exciting with full seasons out of Bailey,Matos,Harrison and other's..
Signing off now, Mordy

We must be the worst team when it comes to shutdown innings..It seems any time we score (miraculously) we give up runs in the next inning..Is there a stat that could ascertain how bad we are in this dept? Just another sign of a suckass team

The real fans are not dumb but owners think they are. Locally, everyone wants to see the kids and think GK is a total douchebag. I’m not sure if there are any stats about shutdown innings but there are a lot of stats about errors, unearned runs, range, which reflect poorly on the team. If Kapler wants his iPad to show what a bad manager looks like, he can press the camera button and turn on selfie.

Holiday: cheered on by some of the dumbest fans in the country
The fans you see on TV and talk shows are not too swift and media. I think NBC Bay Area (which Giants have a ownership share in) is trying to paint the best possible picture so it looks like everyones happy at the yard. The hardcore and knowledgeable fans are *definitely* angry.
