I think it's time we put sean's starting career on Hold.
As they pointed out on the pregame show, this was a bad place for him to pitch in the 1st place. But once again he struggled Commanding the strike zone.
I cannot see any reason to run him out there as a starter again, because every time we do we get more of the same thing.
Not that the rest of our pitching staff was any better, we score 11 runs and can't win because those morons walk hitters, struggle with the strike zone, and end up throwing something fat to a team that's not hitting.
And I like Michael conforto and JD davis, but right now those two guys are mired in a slump that is really hard to watch each time as they go to the plate

Yesterday's game was pretty much a bullpen game, as would be expected in Mexico City. Now, it doesn't make sense to have had a bullpen game earlier in the week but that's the way Kapler manages. I heard he was sightseeing before the game got lost. I get that it was a rare opportunity for him to visit places he might not have ordinarily have gone to but his first job is to manage and if he was sightseeing, to me, the Giants will put in their time with two games there and leave and they'll probably feel satisfied. They need to win at least one but I don't think they will.
One thing about the way Manaea's contract (and Stripling's) is structured is that the second year is a player option so if he sucks or is injured this year, Giants are stuck with him next year. If he does well, he'll probably go elsewhere as Rodon did. Lose-lose situation.
