You can get an idea of what Webb thinks by looking at his Twitter account. For example, when Kevin Gausman tweeted that sometimes a team has to take risks, Webb "liked" it. Krukow said during last season that the pitchers would often hold meetings around the batting cage when the defense was going poorly (that was when they wanted to pitch for strikeouts) and Rodon and Webb were probably the ringleaders. Webb grew up in Rocklin but I do not see him giving the Giants any sort of hometown discount and they should not expect it. I agree, he won't... but he could.
Especially since he's from the area, he's got so much invested in the team, and they'll pay him what he's worth anyway.

I get the feeling Webb would like to compete, so him staying around really depends on if we're a competitive team or not. I like Webb, I believe he's cut from the same cloth as guys like Cain and Bumgarner. But I see his patience growing very short with the antics we've been seeing recently from the Giants management. I don't think he likes Kapler, and something tells me it stems from Kapler posturing to the far left "woke" community.

Your last point is something I've been wondering about for a long time, too.
The giant players have kept mum on the situation and rightfully so, because if they did speak out obviously management might hold it against them.
I said before, more than once, that if I were playing for Gabe capler, hes woke antics and positions would make it really hard for me to play for the man.
I said it was a sad day when we hired him, and it's and even sadder day that he still with us, and will be with us for a few more years.
I think the only hope we have to be out from under him, is for FZ to get his walking papers, and New Management coming in putting in their own man.

There are many bones to pick with Kapler but the thing that bothers me the most is his tendency for virtue signaling and when he singled out Jaylen Davis and Antoin Richardson during the BLM uprisings. He likes to re-tweet a lot as a means of showing his support to various causes. In fact, his present thread on twitter concerns his favorite rap artists and his Twitter banner has MLK and Jimi Hendrix. I'm not sure if MLK and Jimi would be thrilled to have their pictures associated with such a poseur. If Jimi were alive today, he'd probably say "blahh blahh woof woof".

No question that I agree, but I can tell what I posted earlier, that he got so focused on one player that he did not pursue others while he was waiting for that 1 player to come through. And because he stalled and waited around, he got nothing FZ seems to be talking about the offseason in the past tense so I get the impression that he feels he is probably done. Back to the churn.

As I posted in another thread, at Z claims hes got a few more moves to make. What they are should be interesting. If he makes any moves worthwhile at all
