Alex Pavlovic reported today of some kind of issue, or incident, that involved Littel and Gabe kepler.
I was gone for large portions of the summer, and I missed this. What incident is he talking about?

Littel didn't want to come out of the game, so he said something to Kapler as he left the mound. I'm not sure what was said. When Kapler got back to the dugout he pulled Littel into the tunnel. I don't think it was that big of a deal, but Kapler's reaction on the mound and in the dugout made it a thing.

It was during the Braves game where he gave up a couple of runs. Kapler came to take him out and Littell slammed the ball into Kapler's hand. Kapler was clearly irritated after Littell slammed the ball into his hand. Then the two of them got into it in the dugout. Next day LIttell was demoted and Kapler said that the demotion was performance based but that teammate behavior is part of performance. Littell is arbitration eligible this year so I can see them cutting ties and Littell's behavior made the decision a lot easier. It isn't necessarily about the money saved but more than they need 40 man roster spots to protect players from the Rule V draft. No loss.
