Out of the rest of the bunch of those guys, only Wynns and Machado might have a chance to stick next season but only as backups. The rest of the churned position players will probably be released to clear up space on the 40 man roster. A lot of players have become rule V eligible so they are going to have to clean house on most of the marginal guys. Bishop, Luciano, Wilson, and Avila will probably be added to the 40 man.

Matos is also Rule V eligible so they should protect him and not gamble that another team will not keep him all year.

I have no problem with taking a flyer on former top picks. They at least deserved a look and had a shot at being fixed... But like ya'all it's the other, less thanarginal players we went and got that disturbed me They picked up a few players at the Rule V deadline and then DFA'd them. They wanted to sneak a couple of these backup catchers through waivers as depth pieces. I'm not sure why they went after Strotman. I think you are on the same page as I am, Boly. Why screw around with all the marginal guys on the churn when they could have given Vosler a chance? Chances are, Vosler would have out-performed most, if not all of those guys.
