As this train-smash of a season winds down I am thinking about next year; Who my favorite players are some of whom I would like to see gone.
Crawford has always been one of my guys.
Last year I added Slater and Thairo.
I just LOVE the growth I have seen from the kid!
He comes to PLAY everyday!
He got hit in the freaking HEAD, and unlike others, Panik, one of my favorites, Thairo didn't miss a beat!
THAT is mental toughness.
Joey has become a favorite, too because he DIDN'T back down in the face of adversity, nor whine and bitch about being sent down.
Instead he WORKED and LEARNED!
Lamont is another.
Injured all year but NEVER threw in the towel.
Logan Webb. Bulldog! Love it!
I am a huge Yaz fan, but I think it is time to part Ways, and based upon injuries, maybe Belt too.
Note who is NOT on my favorites list; Rodon. All that talent with such mediocre command and RELUCTANCE to throw more off speed stuff.
To ME that is foolishly stubborn.
Love his passion NOT his stubbornness.
Gonzalez. Zero baseball instincts. Unforgivable with his talent.
Cobb. Grant stuff...fleeting command.
At this level and after THAT many years in the show...inexcuseable

Susan Slusser says that a favorite of the players and coaches this season is Wilmer Flores. I think he'll be the Willie Mac winner this season because of all the hard work he's put in and determination not to repeat errors. He's said to be the hardest working player on the team.

I think that would be a good call!

Boly: Crawford has always been one of my guys.
There was a discussion about retiring numbers on KNBR recently and they felt that there would be a slew of retired numbers in upcoming seasons. They said Crawford would probably be one, Posey, Timmy, Cain, Bum, Bochy, possibly Belt. Hurts to see Crawford have the season he is having in 2022 and at his age, I'm not sure if the decline is due to age, injury or lockout.

It does, but honestly I didn't see this one coming app coming after his final spurt year last year. Seen it too many times with aging veterans.

Yesterday, Belt said that his knee issue might hamper him beyond this season. He will probably have the knee drained again and may have a clean out procedure in the off season. They should know more in a couple of months but I'm not sure I would have him back, even on an incentive deal. Bryce Johnson is in Detroit right now so Belt is likely to go back on the IL again. trying to squeeze one more half season out of Belt is very disruptive and not worth it.

Totally agree about Belt.
I love the guy... but his body, as is Longo's is failing him.
