Every time I watch this team, before my vacation and now after it I'm struck with the same thing; they are just never ready.
There is simply no other explanation for a team that cannot beat sub 500 teams.
Not bad brakes, not injuries, not any other excuse the media can make up. None of it flies
They are getting paid way too much money to almost never be ready to compete

Krukow was hinting before the first trip to Cincinnati that in the clubhouse, they may have been taking certain sub-.500 teams too lightly. They may have felt they could win simply by showing up on the field.

They lost to Ashcroft twice, he was not chopped liver.

I never said he was chopped liver, and I never said he couldn't pitch. What I said was we continue to lose to sub par teams; teams with a less than 500 record

I never said he was chopped liver, and I never said he couldn't pitch. What I said was we continue to lose to sub par teams; teams with a less than 500 record Cincinnati has always worried me. They have a bad record but they have a young and hungry team with some decent pitchers. Its the kind of team the Giants have to be especially wary of. Krukow has mentioned this over and over again where all teams are big league teams and no team should be taken lightly, no matter what their record says and they cannot expect to walk into a ballpark and expect an automatic win. There is a tendency for this club to lose focus and not give their best effort against teams with bad w-l records.

You nailed it! They lose focus very easily, and that's why I said they don't have the it that winning teams have

The reason why we were so good last year was mainly due to the seasons Buster, Crawford, and Belt had. After that it was a lot of supporting cast production. But last season, without the Brandons and Posey producing, I don't think we would have played much better than we are right now.

You kind of nailed it. Buster was one of the mainstays of the clubhouse and he probably set the tone against some of the lesser teams. I think the only team the Giants had problems with last season was Pittsburgh but this season, there is a tendency to let everything go.
