This video was sent to me by a good friend of mine, and I pray he doesn't mind my sharing it.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=KNVypN5Aw9ATo say I was impressed would be an understatement, and here's why:
I like his swing, and for a couple of reasons. 1-Great "Knob-Lead" when he goes the other way. You don't often see that in younger players. 2-He can turn, and turn big time, on inside stuff. 3-He's a 'wrist' hitter and not an 'arm' hitter. Hank Aaron was a wrist hitter and they tend to have longer career than arm hitters. NOT comparing him to Hank or saying Jairo will have a career anything like that, just using Hank as an example. Mays was less of a wrist hitter, and like Jairo, had a lot of "start up" movement with his hands as he got the bat into hitting position. Jairo has the same issue, but when he's younger, it plays well. Defensively he's showed good feet and a quick release. Arm strength was above average on the couple of plays I saw, but very accuuate.

The video shows good baseball instincts.

I thought so, too.
I really, really liked the manner in which he went the other way with pitches.
You don't normally see that, as I said in my thread, in younger players.

Thanks, Reed! As Kuip is wont to say: "He can hit!"
Loved the way he kept his hands back when fooled with an off speed pitch.
Often very hard for kids to do.
