Donald Trump is a generous guy. He passed his idiocy down to Don, Jr., who on June 15, 2020 tweeted "Coronavirus is cancelled!!!" I'm guessing a lot of people read his tweet, but the virus itself didn't. The death total on 6/15/20 was "only" 116,000 but Nearly 700,000 Americans have died of the virus since then.
Neither generation of Donalds was wise enough to understand the virus. And we Americans are STILL paying the price. Sad about that Washington state senator, but clearly he didn't understand it either. He won't get another chance.
And as I saw first-hand yesterday, there are still fools out there who when offered a mask say, "No, I'm good." Yes, it's a shame that we have to give up our freedom NOT to wear a mask, but that right pales in comparison to the right of others not to be infected by us. Does no one give a darn about others and the public good? Are we Americans too spoiled an d selfish to do the right thing? Have we been brainwashed by a generous guy?
Matt accused me of being brainwashed, but I read and watch much more information than he does. Just as important, I get my info from the middle wherever possible and from BOTH sides of the spectrum. For him and Boly, if it's not from the right, it's wrong.
What I have found is that much of the stuff from EITHER fringe is wrong, but the stuff from the middle is usually right. I rank the political parties as follows:
#1 -- Republicans. I've voted with them most of my life.
#2 -- Democrats. For the most part, they're good too. Not as conservative, but into protecting democracy and freedom.
#100 -- Trumpers. Autocracy simply isn't a good system. Honesty and integrity matter. So do empathy and respect.
