I actually like the three batter rule, boogie.
All the visits out to the mound, all of the pitching changes, way too much oh, and it drives people away from the game.
Baseball has enough problems drawing fans as it is, the three batter rule, the d h, and starting extra Innings off with a runner on second really help draw interest

I don't mind the runner at second rule, but I think it would be better if the runner were to start the inning at first. A bloop hit or one error shouldn't determine the winner and loser so easily. The winning team should have to mount some kind of mini rally to be declared the winner. A runner at first might actually make the game faster because the pitcher would be less likely to pitch around anyone.
As for the 3 batter rule, it's not fair for the offense to pinch hit anyone they want but the defense can't switch out the pitcher. The game shouldn't rest on the shoulders of one relief pitcher who may or may not have their good stuff that day. It's not right for the starting pitcher to lose a decision, or a team to lose the game because one guy can't find the strike zone.
If they want to make the games faster, they should stop looking at replay reviews to see if a runner sliding into a base came off the bag for a split second while the tag was applied. It's a really bad look for baseball when someone is called out on plays like that. Close plays, yes, nitpicking plays, no. The umpires themselves could easily determine the difference.

Mark Prior visited the mound every time there was a pinch hitter. That was too much.

I am quite surprised that you want to see the DH, Boly. I don't, but I won't stop watching if it happens. I have always preferred the NL style of baseball. In the NL we've always seen more strategic moves late in the game. More bunts, more pinch hitting, more lefty righty matchups..but that style of play is already leaving us due to the 3 batter rule, the game is already getting ready for the universal DH, perhaps that was the plan all along. Implement the 3 batter rule to frustrate NL teams into agreeing to the DH. I don't like it, but I've accepted it. I just hope they ditch the 3 batter rule when the NL DH becomes reality. Believe me, boagie, I'm surprised by my feelings on the matter, too.
Then again, I waffle.
Most of the time, like around 65-70%, when I watch our pathetic attempts to hit and bunt I say the DH is what we need.
On the flip side, I love the strategy involved with the pitcher's spot hittii.
Teach these morons how to hit and bunt, and I'd change my tune.
But the fact is, we seem to be the ONLY team that things the bat is something with which to prop open a door, or stick in the corner as a decoration.

Your points are darned good ones, boagie!
Why should the offense get an advantage.
The problem is, Managers like Bochy made the game drag on by setting up his bullpen to change pitchers for every hitter and that made the game drag.
I, too, am sick and tired of the replay for every stinking nit-picking play!
That's not what the replay rule was designed for.
I would like to see replay become similar to what it is in the NFL. You get 2...and if you get them both right, you get a third.
Now... sheesh! It's just out of control!

I think the if the 3 batter rule continues the manager should have the option of changing out the pitcher IF a pinch hitter is introduced. Then the rule would make it fair for both sides.
