Considering how things have gone for the Mets this month, and based upon what Rojas did tonight, and some of his other goofy moves during the month of August against the Giants, pulling taijuan Walker when he was pitching outstanding, if I'm the owner of the Mets, after the game I call Rojas into my office and give him his Walking Papers

I disagree, Boly. First off, I don't think the Mets have been playing poorly, they've just been significantly outmatched by the Dodgers and Giants. Without Degrom or Syndergaard they simply aren't on the same level as the Giants or Dodgers. That's a roster issue, not a in-game managing issue.
Secondly, after getting beat many times recently, why would you put blind faith in the starter when you have two left-handed batters due up with a left-handed specialist ready in the pen? It was the 7th inning, it's probably the last time Crawford gets an at bat in the game. To me it was a crucial moment in the game..bringing in the lefty seems like a good move in my opinion. If it were the 5th inning then I leave my starter in, but in the 7th wjth the best hitter on the opposing team due up I start considering the best matchups.
Just my take on it. Anyone can speculate what should have been done..but I think Bochy and Kapler would have made the same move..or at very least considered it. In fact I can guarantee they'd have considered it, which makes it pretty hard to justify firing someone.

I'm with Boly in this one.. Walker was unhittable.. and after an error and a bloop ( which had a . 060 chance of going for a hit) Walker deserved the chance to get out of it.. As a Giants fan I was thrilled he was pulled .. Rojas deserves to get fired for the season the Mets are having and last night should have been the last straw

Im not sure if anyone else noticed this but I got the impression that Rojas and another one of his coaches were looking at a pretty sizable monitor thoroughout the game that was mounted in front of the dugout. I was able to see light reflecting off of them and off the back wall of the dugout. What was on the monitor, I don't know. Spreadsheet? Close up of players? It may be possible they were trying to steal signs because in the 5th inning, Cueto was making signals to Caselli and then both of them were looking at their pocket cards. At any rate, whatever Rojas was looking at seemed a lot more interesting to him than what was happening on the field.

With regard to pulling Walker, I think the old school managers would have left him in while the sabermetric ones would have pulled him. Maybe instead of firing Rojas, they should instead fire their analytics depeartment.

To me, this was a drastic case of over managing a team that is struggling and tripping over their own lips in the field.
Yes, Walker has not had a good second half... but that doesn't change the facts.
1-He was dominant last night
2-He was pounding the strike zone with quality strikes.
3-He did not look to be tiring.
4-He had consistently kept the Giant's hitters off balance.
To me, this was even more gross over management than what Baker did in the World Series pulling Ortiz.
Ortiz was no where near as dominant as Walker was last night.

Walker was only at 74 pitches, and had he suddenly begun having command issues, I would be thinking differently.
But he wasn't.
He still had almost every Giant hitter off balance.
Now if Walker had been around 90 pitches, I would tend to agree.
But not with 74.
Not with so little loud contact.
Not with his continued excellent command.
Sorry.

Actually, I probably didn’t write it clearly but I would have left him in and had Rojas been paying more attention to the goings on on the field instead of his monitors, he might have also.
