Doval impressed me from his very first pitch.
Poised and composed is what I saw, but internally, I'm sure he was nervous as we could all imagine.
His command in the outtings since hasn't been great, but it hasn't been all that bad, especially for someone so young and inexperienced.
I can't say I saw the same thing in Santos.
From the moment he took the mound in that first appearance he looked unsure, not confident, and close to feeling overwhelmed.
He showed great stuff, but no where near the command of Doval.
It was the same in the second appearance, and then last night...Man!
I believe Doval is ready to pitch at that level, but I think Santos is a ways away.
2 of the three HR's he's given up have just been crushed.
I didn't see Cron's last night, as after he gave up that interplanetary shot to MacMahon, I turned the game off.
I hope they send him down for a bit, and let him get more acclimated to the upper levels of AAA before recalling him later in the year.

Totally agree.. I noticed Santos got smacked around during ST too.... He needs more seasoning
