Once again mr. Kapler shows that he has no idea how to run a pitching staff, pulling Webb at 63 pitches, leaving Cueto in to throw 90 Plus.
To my eyes, it's even more ludicrous leaving him in because he was starting to struggle with his command.
Later in the game, when a picture starts to have command problems, that is an obvious sign that he's tiring.
In fact, krukow mentioned that the ending before, that Johnny was tiring.
Watching kapler Bumble and stumble his way through each game, is becoming very very painful.
What makes it worse is this morning I read where farhaan is giving him a vote of confidence.
I guess farhan's watching a different game than I am.

Interesting game. Perhaps the best and worst were on display by the Giants in this one. The Dodgers were led by the lauded Kershaw. Mismatch? Well the Giants this year have one positive. They can hit as a group. And they also have a team that sort of meets the new standard for MLB-bombs away! 3 HRs barely beats 1 HR for the Dodgers.
The Giants SP has one player-Johnny Cueto and he had a no-hitter going into the 6th. An OF mistake (the Giants weakest player position-LF) and a 5-0 lead becomes a stress inning by Cueto who seemed to lose his cool after the lost in the sun triple. Two walks later and a HR (guys, the Dodgers are a swing for the fence team-don't walk anyone!) it’s a 5-4 game. Collectively they are a .234 hitting team.
The greatest pleasure was (being in So Cal and stuck with the worst color man in Hershiser) watching him slobber over Kershaw and stunned when the score was 5-0. Hersh always corrects anything positive that the play by play guy says about the Giants with a negative. Its fine to root for your team. It isn't fine to knock the team that is beating you.
To the Giants' #1-4 hitters going 9-19 with 3 HRs and 2 Doubles among the 9 hits. And yes to RP Rogers who had me nervous during all of his 2 inning relief job. Today vs. Buehler who really had a tough game last time.
Whoever made this early schedule for the Giants deserves to listen to Hershiser for 24 hours straight. LOL. 7th game vs. LAD today ( all at Dodger stadium) and then to Houston, who is struggling a bit.

Gary, I read an article this morning that said Cueto had trouble walking due to a toe blister when he left the mound at the end of the inning prior to Pence's miscue, and Turner's blast.
Think about that; he had trouble walking, but Kapler left him in.
I don't care what a pitcher would say to me if I saw him noticeably limping, but was saying he wanted to stay in...If you can't walk properly and without pain, you shouldn't still be pitching.
I just add it to the pile of information that shows me, at least, the Kapler has no clue how to handle a pitching staff, much less in game decisions about pitching.
I like what he's done with the offense, keeping EVERYONE involved, but not what he's doing with our pitching.

I agree on Cueto.... he was in the 6th and had the lead of 5-0, then 5-1. Take him out. With the load of RPs let them pitch 4 innings. There's a day off Monday. Cueto needs everything working for his game, then he is than very tough as his history proves.
I'm not enthused on Kapler at all. But in realty he has few dependable pitchers. Time will tell.
