Below is an article I just found, this is why Zaidi grabs up every available player.
"Billy Hamilton’s time with the Giants went by in a blur. First we saw him. Now we don’t.
The Giants traded the speedy outfielder to the Mets on Sunday for minor-league right-hander Jordan Humphreys, a top-30 prospect who missed all of 2018 and part of 2019 after Tommy John surgery. The Giants then optioned Humphreys to their alternate camp.
Hamilton, 29, was with the Giants on a minor-league deal. He missed most of summer training with a medical condition that the team would not disclose, which suggests it was related to COVID. Given the Giants’ full crop of outfielders, and the need to trim their big-league roster from 30 to 28 on Thursday, his chances of a recall were iffy.
Humphreys is 24. In 2017, before he got hurt, he had a 1.42 ERA with 80 strikeouts in 69 2/3 innings for the Mets’ Class A South Atlantic League team, making 11 starts.
His return was delayed when he required another procedure to repair an elbow nerve. He pitched twice in rookie league last summer, then threw 11 2/3 innings and allowed one run over four games in the Arizona Fall League."
