Shortly after the Padres hit another HR, scoring their 6th run, I turned off the game in disgust.
Frankly, I was tired of seeing the same old crap once again.
1-Hitters don't know the strike zone, continually chasing manure up in the strike zone that they can't hit.
2-Pitchers perpetually falling behind in the count.
3-Pitchers lacking command and walking too many hitters.
4-Slater with more of the same-ol-same ol... taking strike 3 after strike three, just as he did last year and the year before.
5-Jeffy giving up the long ball...again!
So, when I woke up this morning and tuned in to the "My Teams" app, you can imagine my surprise to see we actually won!
I usually don't watch the games live, preferring instead, to watch them recorded and NOT have to put up with all the commercials.
Last night in my disgust, I almost...almost erased the recording.
But something told me not to, and it turns out, I'm glad I didn't.
3 and 3, much better than I figured we'd be.
I'll take it.

This was one of the best comebacks in years for the Giants. Despite some knocks Faidi has brought in power bats who aren't always there but last night they were (4 HRs).
Down 6-2, Dickerson hit one dead center into the CF stands. now 6-3. The Giants got two on in the 8th and Solano hits one into the left field stands 8-10 rows in). 6-6. Bottom of the 9th, the Giants only total ballplayer in the lineup, Yaz hits a splash shot, his 2nd game HR. Yaz has such a quick bat to the ball and may have reminded Faidi of Muncy's at bats. The Giants erupt all jumping straight up in the air in place without touching. I thought I was watching a game of "Whack-a-mole". The Giants actually outplayed San Diego but they had those 2 big SD HR shots. I liked how they hung in there- this game has to be a great lift while facing a bad opening schedule: the Dodgers for 7 away, San Diego for 3, Houston and Texas.
BTW Joe Kelly the RP of LAD got properly nailed for his shenanigans , I saw the game. He obviously had some struggle as he threw 12 curve balls in a row. But in a 3-0 count he put one behind Houston's Bergman and it seemed to be a reminder of the Stro's stolen signals in the 2018 WS. Then as he was coming off the mound he engaged in yakking and made a "crying baby" face with his lower lip jutted out and his face in a blubbering motion. That did it and the benches emptied. He is now complaining about an 8 game suspension. But he also instigated a similar tirade when pitching for the Red Sox. IMO unlikely to change.
