I was really hoping nobody in baseball would be doing this kneeling thing..who would have know Kapler would lead the way? Why did it have to be us? I'm not totally surprised..Bumgarner saw the writing on the wall and abandoned this leftist bullshit team to go to a team that wants to win, I dont blame him.

As a Vietnam era veteran, I, too, I'm ashamed.
No, ashamed is the wrong word.
What I am is disgusted!
By taking a knee during the national anthem in my opinion, is showing absolute disrespect to every American who who served in the the military, or who died in the service of his or her country.
I applaud people taking a stand to put an end to racism. There is no place for that in our country, or on this planet.
However, I DO draw the line when they take a knee during the national anthem.
Before the anthem plays, or after the anthem plays, go to the middle of the field and take a knee.
I am fine with that. But stop disrespecting veterans, and our country, by doing it during the anthem

boagie, you really nailed it when you called SF a BS left winged city.
Then again, so is the state.
There are many reasons why my wife and I couldn't wait to and finally DID get out of California, but their left winged BS was near the top of our list.
I am embarrassed to say that I once lived there.
Seriously.

I disagree, Boly.
I agree that it's disrespectful to the flag, and everyone that has fought and/or died for the flag. They shouldn't make the flag the object of their disdain. The flag represents what they desire in social justice and equality. Overall I think this country meets those standards, but of course nothing is perfect. The police clearly do treat black people differently than they do whites, that definitely needs to change. But take the fight to the police, or the local governments that employ them, not the flag, the flag is on the side of the people.
What I don't agree with is displaying political or social justice opinions during a sporting event. When you're suited up, you're on the clock, and you have a job to do. You're getting paid to play ball, compete and entertain. After the game, if you want to use your interview or press conference to discuss social justice, by all means, have at it. When you're on the field, or court, you compete, and you focus on that. When I go to work I don't lay my political views on my customers because it would be unprofessional of me, and it's likely they wouldn't want to hear it. As fans, we are the customers, we deserve to get the product we are paying for without having to be subject to crap we're trying to forget about.

If the kneelers represented "All lives matter" including the fetuses killed in abortion, I would be for it. But to me Sports is the toy department in life, not the pollical display department.
BTW many NBA players are moving away from planned slogans on their back including LeBron and "the Brow". I wonder if they were told that the shirts they wear come from China and likely produced by people with literal 'slave' wages and more.

I'm not sure how much of this kneeling nonsense I can watch/take.
No one understands just whom is funding BLM and where the money is not going.
Over 1.3 BILLION dollars has been donated to them, and almost none of it got to BLM.
Instead it went to off shoot groups that finance radical Islamist groups, communist groups and other left wing, radical factions.
One of the groups is outright saying they have to get rid of the white man because fascism, communism and all the other failed isms, are because of white people.
There's more, much more.
Don't believe me? Fine. Simply pull up Glen Beck and find his videos on BLM and what's happening.
Not Mark may not like Glen, but the fact is this: What ever he reports on, is documented.
