Hey! I preface this post with saying I KNOW we aren't going anywhere this season, or likely the next 2, but I find it interesting that the Dodgers sign guys who can hit, and whom do we sing?
2 guys that couldn't hit the ocean with a bat if they were standing in it.
Cozart, and that gold glove guy we signed, Yollmer?
Both are great with the glove, but for them, the bat ain't where it's at.

The Giants didn't sign Cozart, they traded for him and only because it also landed us a top prospect in Will Wilson.

As far as getting good defensive players, it made sense when we had studs like Lincecum, Cain and Bumgarner leading our staff. Now, defense has less importance.

I was only pointing out the differences in approaches, boagie, nothing more.
Hey, the teams are on 2 different pathways...although with the signing of Billy Hamilton, that pathway just became obscure.
I mean, IF he makes the team, that makes their plan hypocritical.
He's NOT a clubhouse leader like Pence, and IF he makes the team, that takes playing time away from Shaw, Duggar, and Davis.
It must makes no sense, and as I said, it's hypocritical.
