On the table, but no one's talking about it

As we read the articles from Alex Pavlovic and others, they all keep talking about the pitcher's we're signing, and how, at the trade deadline, they'll likely be moved for youngsters.

Pitchers.

That's the extent of their talk.

But I have yet to see one article that addresses what else I think will likely happen; moving position players.

Specifically, Brandon Crawford, and Brandon Belt.

I've seen where everyone says that Longorias contract is too big to be moved, now, or then. At least NOT without giving up a youngster to go with it.

But Crawford 'COULD' really fit in with a team down the stretch who loses their SS.

Same with Belt.

I'd love to see both of them moved in this way, I really, really would.

Too much salary with Crawford and Belt to move them and get anything in return. Doesn't mean it's not possible as we saw with Melancon, but the Braves felt they desperately needed a reliever. It's January, I don't think anyone desperately needs Belt or Crawford right now.

Missed that, Boly. Yes, you're right, Belt and Crawford should be at the top of the list of possible deadline deals.

With all the talk about Pomeranz and Holland deals last year, I can't believe the writers are ignoring these 2.

They could be key pieces to replace injured players from other teams.
