I dont think I've watched a full World Series game since 2014. I think I watched part of the 7th game last season, but only to watch the Dodger choke. But for some reason I watched the 6th game of this World Series. The interference call on Turner was a blown call, 100%. Turner wasn't out of the baseline, he ran straight from the batter's box to first base, ending up running through the bag toward the outside part of the bag. Turner did nothing to interfere with the throw, it was a bad throw that went into the runner. That's fine, blown calls happen, and luckily it didn't affect the outcome, no harm done.
Then Joe Torre gets on TV and proceeds to tell everyone that the call was correct. It's a shame MLB has decided to defend umpires even if they blow a call. I dont think the umpire should be ridiculed or punished in any fashion, but they (the umpire and MLB) should definitely come out and say "we got it wrong." Then they should consider allowing a replay in that situation. But that will only happen if they admit there was a mistake.
Thoughts?

I agree, boagie.
I didn't watch ANY of the games, but I caught THAT play on a news show the next morning.
That was horrible!
And it's also added to my list, and it's a big one, of why I DESPISE officials!
There was no reason to call that... none at all!
