The first few times this guy blew it in the post-season I was happy, because obviously I never wanted the Dodgers winning a World Championship. I still don't want the Dodgers hoisting up a trophy, but after watching Kershaw blow it time and time again, the humane side of me wants to see him succeed at least once. He's been so good for so long he doesn't deserve to have this black cloud hanging over his legacy. And, he's a good guy. He doesn't show up other players, he doesn't beat his wife, he doesn't do stupid things that a lot of people that have the type of money he has do, he seems like a good natured, wholesome kid, he always has been. So part of me roots for him as a person, not the jersey he's wearing of course, but him alone.
Agree..disagree?

Agree with you about the "human" side of me... but that gets over ridden by the fact that he's a Dodger.
Still.... it's very sad to see a man have to bear the fate of his team during the off season like he'll have to do...again...
Can anyone say, Ralph Branca?
He's post season failures remind me so much of Dodger great, Gil Hodges.
The first 2 World Series for him, he imploded, batting "0" in one of them, and no one really understood, or understands, why.

There’s a lot of great guys in baseball who don’t show people up or beat their wives, so I don’t feel sorry for him at all. Dude makes 30 million a year and blows it for his team when they need him the most. Walker Buehler makes 570K and pitched his heart out in a pressurized season on the line game and the 30 million guy blew it for him. If I were to feel sorry for anyone it would be Buehler.

Once again RX hits the nail on the head. I don't hate teams as I did in the past but there is still some measure of Glee when the Yankees or dodgers lose and if Kershaw has to be the hit man so be it. Let's not forget that he chose the opt out clause to get more money out of LA. Obviously nobody can blame him but it does show the me over the team attitude that players display. No I don't feel sorry for Kershaw. Eff the Dodgers and eff Kershaw!!!

Don't get me wrong, I love to see the Dodgers lose. Maybe part of me has compassion for Kershaw because of his actions during the last game of the season when he kept feeding Bum fastballs and tipped his cap after Bum lined out to 3rd base. He's always demonstrated the right way to play the game and I respect that.

I love, and I mean LOVE seeing the Dodgers lose.
Frankly, that makes my day every time it happens.
But Clayton has shown he's a class guy.
Not like Bryce No Class Ever Harper.
Or Manny Ramirez or any hundred and fifty players I could mention.
It hurt a little, as you said, on the human side of me.
I would rather it had happened to a different Dodger, but I'll take the loss and be glad.

I feel not one ounce of pity or sympathy for Kershaw. Hes a choke artist plain and simple. He gets what he deserves
