For us fans, with the termination of the season yesterday, the waiting game begins...
I'm hoping it goes better for us than last off season did.
I'm hoping that Webb learned and comes back better next year.
I'm hoping that Rodriguez can straighten himself out and return to what he was last year.
I'm hoping that some of our kids progress.
I'm hoping we can move some players like Belt
I'm hoping Farhan really has a good head for talent
I'm hoping he gets us the help we need.
Basically, I'm just hoping...

I like to remain optimistic about Webb. I just really don't see him as anything more than a 3 or 4 guy. Last off-season you were pretty down on Rodriguez and he was way more impressive than Webb in his rookie year

If I see DRod anywhere near the mound I wont be too happy..He just flat out sux...No velo...No guts...Just a horrible pitcher...There was good reason he was a nobody before we picked him up....

Totally disagree about Webb vs DRod. DRod was a career minor leaguer bouncing around from team to team before he hit the majors with the Giants last year at age 26. Even in his successful debut last year, it was mostly smoke and mirrors, he didn’t have dominant stuff. 89 K in 118 innings is decent but hardly overpowering. Webb, on the other hand, is a highly regarded prospect who is just 22 years old. He was rushed to the majors out of desperation (mostly due to lousy pitching by DRod!) after missing half the year with a suspension and barely pitching at AAA, and still impressed. He has dominant stuff, striking out a batter an inning and his best two starts were his last two vs good teams. They couldn’t be more different.

He summed up Webb quite well.
Derrick had a nice rookie season, but the movement on his fastball, the breaking stuff...it's just not in the same league as that of Webb or Head Case, for that matter.
