I'm sorry, but when I was playing we as teammates had each others backs. If someone steamrolled my second baseman like Wolters did to Dubon, his ads would be in a world of hurt tonight

I think it was completely inadvertent, Randy, otherwise I would agree with you.

Inadvertant? You mean he didn't understand where he was or what he was doing? Well respectfullh my friend I disagree. I have been in that situation before. Even if it wasnt intent to injure, he needs to be aware of the danger he causes with his actions. I was perturbed that he wasn't rushed right then and there and even more upset that he wasn't drilled his next time up. Dubon deserves better.

First of all, it was completely accidental, and Wolters was shaken up as well. Second of all, even though Wolters was shaken up, he still went over to Dubon, patted him on the back and checked to see if he was ok. Third of all, Dubon made them pay the right way, by leading the Giants attack the following day. And finally, this happening to you too Randy explains a lot. Did it happen repeatedly? Just kidding Randy, of course!

You've never collided with someone on accident while playing a sport, Randy? When you're running hard, sometimes it's hard to avoid a collision. I think you're right that sometimes it might be on purpose, but in this case I find it hard to believe it was purposeful. Number one, every baserunner knows that if you touch the fielder fielding the ball that you're out. Number two, Wolters at the last second lifted his leg to try to avoid more contact with Dubon, and thirdly, he got up and turned around to check on Dubon. Wolters wasn't running out of the base path, he didn't lower his shoulder, he did nothing that makes me believe he intended to make contact with Dubon. I'm usually one of the first to jump on someone for a dirty play, but there's just zero evidence to say this was an example of one.

How could you call this an accident when the runner ran directly into the fielder? Sorry no sale, buddy

Look at the replay again, Randy. Really look at it. Wolters was looking at the ball because it was close to him and he didnt want it to hit him, he only saw Dubon when it was too late to avoid a collision. After he got up he went straight to Dubon to see if he was ok, he then patted him on the back and left the field. You can say he's not a very aware base runner, but to say he ran over Dubon on purpose is just silly.

Two things...what is he, a moron? Of course he knew where Dubon would be. Secondly, his play is to stop and force the fielder to tag him. Instead he charged like a bull
