Today there were 2 articles of note; one how we're NOT now, not ever going to be able to sign Gerrite Cole, the other about how foolish everyone is to want Posey hitting further down in the line up.
The author, I don't remember his name, was talking about Posey's exit velocity in some outs during the A's series, but said he's doing better than most think.
Said he was in a season long slump until June.
June?
Has this idiot even been watching the games?
Posey's slump has continued long after June.
But aside from that, he also talked about the "alarming" upswing in his strike outs, the down swing in his BB's... and how much more frequently he chases pitches out of the hitting zone.
Posey has not looked "balanced," like the Buster of old, for going on 3 years now.
He frequently, way toooooooooooooooo frequently, has awkward swings that look to ME, like he's not seeing the ball until late.
He continues to demonstrate that he can no longer see 'spin' very well, and often just slaps at the ball.
I don't know what Buster Posey the author is/was watching, but it AIN'T the guy I've seen all year.
