A guy we should destroy.
But won't.
I predict we'll score 1... maybe 2 runs.
Maybe.

The Giants are clearly slumping, but didn't we learn something from their somewhat historical scoring outburst during July? Things can change overnight.
You may well be right about tonight, but if I were a betting man, I'd definitely take the over with an over/under of 2 runs. By my quick count, the Giants have scored three or more runs in 75 of their 114 games. That's not very good, but it's certainly a big majority.

As was the case with the Diamondbacks in his last start. Perhaps Joe is a better (and healthier) pitcher right now than we're giving him credit for.

Perhaps, but as I've said multiple times, Roger, you always take the opposing point of view.
Always.
Facts are facts. He's just not very good, but this team is even worse.
We are so bad we couldn't line up 12 of our guys with bats, have them swing, and each and every one of them with miss hitting air.

Facts are facts. He's just not very good Rog -- Whether Ross is good or not isn't a fact; it's an opinion. What is a fact is that he hasn't allowed a run over 11.1 innings in his last two starts, allowing just four hits (3 of them to the Giants) in that time. In his previous start to the one against the Giants, he had one-hit the Diamondbacks. As Roto World wrote, "Ross's track record should have gotten him more respect from the Nationals heading into the year, but he found himself out of (the) rotation ... Finally back in the rotation, he's been effective in all three of his starts." The reason it so often seems like I take the other side of the story is to show our posters that there is often another side of the story. As is the case in most of life, we would likely benefit if we broadened our viewpoint. Read more: sfgiantsmessageboard.proboards.com/thread/5504/another-guy-8-era#ixzz5w6mYKifg
