Randy;
This is from ESPN
From ESPN:Luhnow gives up three of Houston's top 10 prospects in J.B. Bukauskas, Seth Beer and Corbin Martin, but all three have notable flaws: Bukauskas struggled with his control and has a 5.25 ERA in Double-A; Beer can hit, but has no position; Martin reached the majors this year, but underwent Tommy John surgery. The Diamondbacks also get Triple-A utility player Josh Rojas, who has hit .315/.403/.575 and could be a nice sleeper.
That certainly adds a "new spin" on what the Astros gave up, and it certainly explains WHY they were so willing to apparently give 'so much' up.

The 'flaws' are all fixable if the talent is legit. I didn't expect the players would all be major league ready. The prospects we got in sure have their own issues on top of being not as talented as these three.

Also, compared with what we'll end up with, thanks to zaidiot, it is huge value.

Randy, I simply do not agree with you.
And as I said in another thread, that's unusual.
You and I usually are on the same page.

Well at least when we disagree we don't have to worry about the other guy posting every stat possible to make us look bad 😉

I read that Zaidi was really high on Josh Rojas, so he would have been a part of a Bumgarner deal, but what Randy is missing is that Kyle Tucker was the prospect that teams holding a good starter wanted from Houston, not the others mentioned, and that’s why they couldn’t make a deal. The Astros made the deal for Greinke because they were able to keep Tucker and the reason they could was that they assumed Greinke’s massive salary. There was no massive contract with Bum, Syndergaard or Robbie Ray, so that Houston package wasn’t enough to get them. Plus with Bum, you had the added problem that he was a rental. If you couldn’t get Tucker for pitchers with control, how could you get him for a rental?
