We have mentioned that part of the Tommy John Syndrome is that pitchers are throwing harder than ever, testing the limits of their arms. Now we find that the same may be true of shortstops.
Corey Seager underwent the procedure earlier this season, and now it appears Trevor Story may be next. Trevor felt discomfort after diving and making a throw, and he felt more after a swing and a miss.
It's great that pitchers and even position players are throwing harder than ever. It's not great that they're testing the limits of their arms and often exceeding those limits.
