Roger, this is what Flannery was talking about.
The Giants rank near the bottom in multiple offensive categories -- 18th in batting average (.245), 24th in on-base percentage (.308), 26th in slugging percentage (.380), 26th in OPS (.688), 27th in home runs (111), 25th in RBI (482) and 25th in runs scored (509).
I can't speak to where you found yours, but these are what Sabean is going by

I suspect I found my numbers in much the same manner as Tim did, since our numbers agree. Tim included more categories than I and showed the Giants' rank in each one. I merely compared the numbers to 2017, since he apparently said they had declined.
In 2017 the Giants ranked 23rd in batting average, 29th in on base percentage, 30th in slugging percentage, 30th in OPS, 30th in home runs, 29th in RBI's and 29th in runs scored. The Giants have improved their standing in each of those categories, just not as much as would have liked.
Did you notice that the Giants finished last or next to last in each of these categories except batting average, where they finished ahead of seven teams? At least this season they're ahead of a few teams.
