the Giants ran out onto the field but only Pence came to Hundley's defense. A Dodgers base coach tackled Hundley but no Giant stopped Puig from throwing two more punches at Hundley. That's horse shit. Where was Bumgarner? Where was Belt? Where was Longoria? If this team had any chance to make the playoffs, they fluttered away like a frightened butterfly tonight. I'd be freakin pissed off if I was Hundley. Lucky that the Dodgers bullpen choked again.

I thought the same thing, it looked like the entire Dodger team against Hundley. The Dodger's bench coach seemed to care more about Hundley getting piled on. That said...I don't necessarily blame them though. Whenever a player gets angry or throws a punch the ultra liberal Bay Area fake news outlets tear them to shreds.

I'm not sure why the media would want to make up news when there is so much news so readily available. But maybe I just don't read the sporting pages enough. I wasn't aware they tore players to shreds. And if they do, it sounds more like editorial comment than news to me. Perhaps we should be more accurate and call it fake opinion, not fake news. As for not protecting Hundley, it looked to me as if the Giants were more interested in going after Puig, just as the Dodgers seemed more interested in going after Hundley than protecting Puig. Yasiel can have that effect on both teams.
As for Hundley's reaction, courtesy of NBC Sports Bay Area: “That should bring us even closer together,” Hundley said. “This is a tight-knit group. We’ll feed off that. What a great win.”
Later, Alex Pavlovic wrote, "The clubhouse was still energetic and players smiled as they walked past Hundley’s locker."
I thought the Mercury News' Kerry Crowley wrote a great lead, stating "A night after Nick Hundley made the Dodgers sick to their stomachs, he took two punches to his own." That's good writing IMO.
