you can put it right on the outside corner and a right hander can still yank it over the wall in LCF. Sad to see this happen to your ace

It was on the outside corner, Randy but here's the thing(s)
1-It was UP; belt high.
2-Pinder was looking away because that's all Bum had thrown pretty much everyone to that point.
3-Pinder didn't try to pull it, to his credit. He did what we've seen Posey do for 8+ years: what Pence used to do: What McCutchen does a lot: What Crawford does so well. He went WITH the pitch and drove it hard.

You can keep making excuses all you want but the evidence is clear...Bum is NOT the dominant pitcher he once was. He is still very good at what he does but without the tools he once possessed, hitters are going to be able to take advantage...even lousy ones like Pinder. Bum got lucky only to give up one run last night against a pretty bad lineup...Moronta bailed him out.

I'm not making excuses, Randy, and never once, not once, did I EVER say he was the dominant pitcher he once was.
He's not, and that's a fact we both can agree on.
The problem is, at least for me, is that I don't think you realize how your posts are coming across. Like he's washed up and should be moved.
That might not be what you mean, but that's how they read.

well i certainly never meant that he was washed up and I think maybe you're confusing my post with Boagie's about Jeff. I'm not saying we SHOULD move Bum, but I did say we should listen to good offers.

At the trade deadline, if we are obviously out of the race, I agree.
Totally agree.
I do NOT think we should give him some nuts-o contract extension.
No way.
he's not worth 40 -50 Million or so over the next bunch of years after his contract expires.
