Jeffy is back within 2 weeks and someone gets bumped from the rotation.
Estes speculated that it would Rodriguez; "last called up, first to go," I believe is what he said; or something close.
Can't really argue with his logic, and I get even argue who I'd rather have because we all know Bochy will pick Jeff.
Cueto's back in about 3 weeks, I'd guess, then I'm guessing the ax falls on Suarez.
Too bad, too, because I think he keeps getting better with each outting.
It isn't going to be Holland. Not after his last 6 starts.

Damned thing stopped working!
Now I'll finish:
Last 14 days: 2-1, 2.81 ERA, 1.313 WHIP
Last 28 days 3-2, 3.77 ERA, 1.387 WHIP.
Incredibly, and I haven't figured out how, he keeps getting better.
So it won't be Derek who gets removed from the rotation.
In the outfield decisions have to be made on Autistic Jackson (Loved whom ever came up with THAT ONE!) and Pence.
I can't believe Hunter bought himself more time with two fluke hits yesterday off a pitcher he hits well.
What did Kuip say? Exit velocity of 41 mph on that bloop to LF.
Jackson has proved to be absolutely useless.
Can't believe they'd just release him. Maybe some minor deal...
Then there's Mac, whom I believe is still feeling the effects of that concussion.
No way he was squaring up so many pitches prior, and now cannot.
Again, I'd send him down and bring up Slater if, within the next week he can't start driving the ball again.

Boly- In the outfield decisions have to be made on Autistic Jackson (Loved whom ever came up with THAT ONE!) and Pence.
Boagie- I came up with that, and as Rog pointed out, it's not nice. Since Rog pointed that out, I did some soul searching and now I feel the nickname I gave Austin was unfair and mean spirited, my mother taught me better. With that said, I humbly apologize to all the autistic people.

I have disagreed vehemently with Rog about the use of nicknames.
I love nicknames.
I mean we're okay with crap like Fity-cents?
That's freaking bad English!
This generation is all PC...and I don't go for that.
The PC'ers can take it and shove it where the sun don't shine, as my father used to say.
I like your nickname. It's not PC, and I don't care.
It's euphemistically poking fun at a guy who'll never hear about it or read about it.
It's funny, it's to the point, and it fits!
I mean consider the crap they've used for the past 20 years.
Thoughtless, a five year old could come up with them nicknames;
FRod, Arod, Cargo... those are just on beyond lazy and stupid nicknames.
I hope you change your mind and stick with it.

I think you missed my sarcasm, Boly. I apologized to autistic people for comparing them to Jackson.

Wow, Boagie. Your apology was darn nice. I do recognize that you might have been kidding with the nickname (I hope so) or with the apology (I hope not), or both, but I thought the apology was a very nice one.

I think you missed my sarcasm, Boly. I apologized to autistic people for comparing them to Jackson. Rog -- I completely missed that, Boagie. I was going to compliment you for a nice post-apology turn, but now that I see your apology toward Jackson was faked, I'm highly disappointed. As to Boly's comments, I LOVE good nicknames and wish we had more great ones as they seemed to have in the old days. But you stooped pretty low here, Boagie. I guess your mom SHOULD have taught you better -- or you should have listened. Read more: sfgiantsmessageboard.proboards.com/thread/4596/soon-necessary-decisions?page=1#ixzz5J6MMpxdN

As for how well Holland has pitched, I didn't realize he had been THAT good recently. It would seem that unless things change, the Giants would just about have to stay with him.
On the other hand, that's not all bad. If he can keep pitching well, he'll be an asset if the Giants are buyers, and he'll be an asset to sell if they become sellers. If they become sellers, Suarez will almost certainly get his chance.

I agree with you Boly that the initial nicknames are beyond weak.
The one thing I will give Boagie credit for with his nickname is that it was clever.

The thing I HATE about Holland is 5.1 IP per start. He's awful on our bullpen.

It's just a nickname, Rog. Don't get preachy on me. It doesnt even really make sense. I don't think being compared to an autistic person is really that bad. Autistic people are just wired differently, and some have great talents like playing the piano, painting, or in Dustin Hoffman's case, counting cards. Unfortunately for us, Autism Jackson's talent is not playing baseball.

It was cute, it was funny and it wasn't off color; meaning there were no F-bombs in it.

The thing I HATE about Holland is 5.1 IP per start. He's awful on our bullpen. Rog -- The shortness of his outings is indeed a flaw, but I'd rather have a guy pitch 5.1 innings well than 6.1 innings poorly. One thing about Derek has been his relative consistency. While he certainly hasn't been great every outing, he has yet to yield more than four runs. Part of that, of course, is the short innings, although he has pitched long enough to earn the win -- score permitting -- in all but three of his games. Consistent runs allowed and fairly consistent innings as well. I think the bottom line is that he's performed better than expected. For essentially a replacement pitcher, he's been darn good. I'm thinking Lack of Action Jackson might have been a bit less demeaning. As I say, it was clever -- but a little off.

I think you were merely trying to be funny, Boagie. I apologize for overreacting. But we autistic guys tend to do that.

"Rain Man" was a fabulous movie, but autism usually isn't nearly as glamorous as the movie made it appear.

You're right, Randy. I should have said no more than four EARNED runs.
