VERY encouraging outting by Stratton last night against the Cubs.
Great command of all of his pitches, and from what I saw... he's picking up where he left off last year.
Still too early to tell, but with Jeffy going down (for who knows how long), we certainly need someone to step up.
I'd like to see Stratton be that guy because, based upon his history, Holland isn't that guy.

Although there appears to have been some luck involved, Holland got off to a great start to last season before falling apart. His ERA after10 starts was 2.37.

And then what happened?
Was he hurt?
Or simply did he revert to what he really was? Not a very good pitcher?
I have heard that his velocity was down as the season wore on, but let's be honest; his life time ERA is nothing to write home about.

Good news on Jeff--or bad if you hate him--MRI showed nothing significant. According to Krukow, he was working a lot on his changeup in camp, which can cause shoulder soreness.
