Way too early to tell, but I have to admit, Stratton has been impressive and then some, these last 2 starts.
To hold powerful teams like Washington and Milwaukee to nada?
Well, he impressed the crap outta me.
Of course that was the first time either team saw him, so the real test will come his 2nd, 3rd, and 4th times facing them.
But for the moment; I'm impressed.

Those might be the two best games Chris has ever pitched. He's been really good.

What makes me think he 'might' have a shot at being a # 4 starter at best, is the spin rate on his breaking stuff.
THE fastest spin rate in baseball is what I've read.

The faster the spin rate, the better the movement, so his curve could be REALLY good. Should be just a matter of commanding the pitch and mixing it in with his other stuff.
This is great news!

I was a breaking ball pitcher, Rog, so I can address this subject from a position of knowledge.
Stratton throws a LOT harder than I did.
I had to pitch backwards, breaking balls setting up fast balls.
Stratton throws in the low 90s, but from what I've seen doesn't have particularly good movement.
Thus he MUST be able to locate his fastball really well, much like Ty Blach does.
Blach has a very good change up, and a mediocre to poor breaking ball.
With his outstanding spin rate, IF Stratton can command the strike zone with his fastball, his breaking balls "can" be un-hittable, as they were in Washington.
