I'd like to say that iI believe t's now been a bad year for Brandon Belt. The sad thing is that it is still a better season than any Giants everyday player except for Buster Posey, Brandon Crawford, Eduardo Nunez and -- position adjusted -- perhaps Joe Panik. Brandon's overall performance is no longer good enough to overcome his poor performance in the clutch.
And this comes even as he leads the team in runs, home runs and walks, and is second in RBI's. In spite of playing good defense. It's just been a bad year.
Fortunately for him and the Giants, it's not over. But his most recent slump and his failure in the clutch have been disturbing. It's more than time for him to break out.
And bring most of the rest of his teammates right along with him. Time for things to change right now.
As if that weren't the most obvious thing I've ever said here.
