I would bring back Angel Pagan immediately. We know there have been periods when the Giants seemed to be able to win when he played but not when he didn't. Why not bring him back and hope for the "magic" again? It's not as if the Giants couldn't use a left fielder. It's not as if Angel couldn't use a job.
It's two months until the trade deadline. If Angel can help turn things around, be buyers. If he can't, be sellers -- even offering him if anyone wants him.
That's what I would do. Clean. Neat. Simple.

Ummm. No thanks, Rog.
this club has more holes than an aging Pagan can fill.

I would be praying for a spark. As for the holes:
. With Pagan in left and a healthy Span and Pence, the Giants would have an outfield again.
. Belt, Panik, Crawford and Nunez can be a good infield.
. The Giants are more than set at catcher.
. The back of the bullpen is fine. It's the front that has been horrendous. Long and middle men are easy to find.
Now, that's a lot of things to come together, and the season is more than a third over. But the point is that if Pagan sparked the Giants, as some have believed he can do (and by the way he wasn't bad in 2016), they might have a chance. As it stands, they have close to none.
