There is a poster here who signature line includes saying that stats geeks don't get it and they never will. This flies in the face of facts.
Baseball teams are using analytics more than ever before.
The MLB Network has had at a program that was entirely devoted to metrics.
ESPN the Magazine, put out by the world's number one sports network, is devoted in great part to analytics.
Announcers are understanding and using stats more.
Even conservative fans are using them more.
So what I am seeing is that this particular poster doesn't get it. But I hope he will.

it must touch a nerve for you to be so hot and bothered over a sig line you consider to be flawed. Stats geeks NEVER do get it and you prove that every time you get your panties in a bunch about it

El Dooderino -- Stats geeks NEVER do get it and you prove that every time you get your panties in a bunch about it Rog -- Illogical answer, but nice try to avoid responding directly to the five facts brought up. Anyway, I hope you eventually get it. As it is, you "err" three ways: "err"-rude "err"-wrong "err"-riduculous "err"-right Read more: sfgiantsmessageboard.proboards.com/thread/2731/hope#ixzz3SyacfCVl
