As I look back on the recent thread titles, here is briefly what I see:
Zobrist -- He's pretty darn good. The Giants can afford him, and they should have the prospects to acquire him.
Who Deserves More Credit/Blame? -- Both Bruce Bochy and Brian Sabean have done good jobs, resulting in three World Championships in five seasons.
Asleep at the Wheel -- Whether we don't like the Giants' acquisitions thus far or feel they have put themselves in decent position within their budget, they certainly haven't been asleep at the wheel.
What about Carbonell? -- Daniel Carbonell is considered a so-so prospect who might be ready around the time Angel Pagan's contract expires. He won't likely have much if any impact for the big club this season.
3rd Place -- The Giants might wind up in 3rd place in the NL West this upcoming season. Then again, they might finish first or especially second. None of those scenarios precludes their making the post season.
Just to Clarify -- The thread quickly implies no one is predicting God-awfulness for 2015. Barring horrible health and/or an unexpected collapse, that sounds like a good appraisal.
Expendable Dollars -- The Giants don't have as many expendable dollars as we would like, but they have indeed increased their payroll by three-quarters over the past five years.
Giants Trade for Casey McGehee -- McGehee isn't a world beater, but he should provide solidity at a position that was wide open.
Failure -- Incomplete would be more like it. Thus far opinions seem to run from pretty good to awful. Cup half full or half empty?
We've spent tens of thousands of words discussing these threads, an awful lot by me, but I hope that capsulizes them fairly accurately.
