The Dodgers cut our old friend loose today and will eat his 9.5 million dollar salary. While it might be fun to have him back with the Dodgers paying his salary, I'm pretty sure he burned that bridge with his ridiculous outburst over his WS ring. He lives in LA, but was raised in Massachusetts, so perhaps he might wind up joining the Panda in Boston. He's certainly a low risk at minimum salary, although you would have to put up with his obnoxious personality.

Not that I want either of them back, but it's funny that you forgave Melky for his ridiculousness, but not Wilson.

I can't think of a single ex-Giant that I am upset with. Maybe there is someone, but I can't think of him. I pay a lot more attention to what a player does as a Giant than anything else.

Brian's antics are still to this day misconstrued by most Giants fans. Whether you like Brian or not, he's good at playing a role. Brian was not overcome with rage about his ring, it was a planned show for the cameras. Brian wanted to play the Dodger villain and he achieved his goal.

I don't think there's been any poster more pro Brian Wilson than me, Randy, so your memory is short to say the least. I defended his antics when he was here, I defended him when he signed with the Dodgers and I've defended everything except that outburst against Baer. That was classless. You're the one who's hopped all over Romo because you think he wants to be a Dodger, yet no bitterness over Wilson signing there? And my post said he burned his bridges here, not that I personally wouldn't accept him back, because I would. I don't think the Giants would however because of that incident.
