Regardless of what one thinks of the Giants as a team, they're an amazing one.
How do you lose Matt Cain, Angel Pagan, Marco Scutaro and -- essentially -- Tim Lincecum and still make the World Series? How do you successfully put guys like Juan Perez and an out-of-position Travis Ishikawa, put them in the starting lineup -- and still win 8 out of 10?
How does Santiago Casilla go over a month without allowing even a HIT, let alone a run? How does Yusmeiro Petit retire a baseball history high 46 straight batters?
How do you play the best baseball in the major leagues for over two months when Brandon Hicks is your second baseman. How do you play an NLCS where over half your runs are "driven" in by something other than a hit?
Amazing. Whether torture or not, whether cockroaches or not, amazing.

How about we call them: Unkillable, tortureous cockroaches?
Whatever it takes!

How about "The Survivors!" Or how about just World Champions three of the past five seasons. I think the latter is my first choice.

An amazing run whether they win or lose this series. Come clean, guys. Which one of you sold your soul to the devil in exchange for all this success?

I agree, Mark. I never thought we'd get past Pittsburgh, much less make it to the World Series! For me, though I DESPERATELY want to win... this is just more icing on an already delicious cake! But your question is a good one! Which one of you did it? boly
