I must admit to being flabergasted.
1-Not one word about that incredible play Crawford made on Trumbo in game 2 of the series. THAT was one heck of a play. But not one comment?
2-What an INCREDIBLE at bat for the kid, Duffy, last night. The little bit I caught of the interview, before DirectTV rudely cut us off was that his back leg was shaking so badly he had to call a time out.
THEN he came right back and whacked a decent slider to CF for a 2 run single!
Talk about CLUTCH for a kid who is NOT getting many at bats!! Wow.
And not one word.
Well I for, one, was floored, impressed, shocked by both moments.
THAT'S what a team needs down the stretch.

I was Impressed with both Belt and Duffy in that rally. Both laid off a tough slider 2-2 against Reed. Duffy knew he was going to get something in the middle of the zone and he didn't miss it. Does anyone still want Travis playing first over Belt these last 10 games?

I think the plan was for Belt to start playing tonight in the San Diego series after several days of batting practice. I was pleasantly surprised to see Bochy send him up there in the ninth. Let's see if he's in the lineup tonight. Ishi has played well, but he's no Belt.

Krukow and Kuiper said that Belt was staying in Arizona to get some at bats in the Instructional league.
I took that to mean he would not be in SD tonight.

Belt stayed for that extra work on Thursday when the Giants had a day off. He's back with the team now

Didn't make a difference. They remain the only team that can't hit the Padres Despaigne. ERA of 4.13 against everyone else, but 0.45 vs. the Giants in three starts. Of course being put in a four run hole in the first inning for the second straight Hudson start never helps.

I saw his ERA before the game, and Kruk talking about his 3.50 in international play and I'm thinking, "how come WE can't hit this clown?"
