I'll get these numbers as close to what ESPN said that I can.
In his first 13 starts, Hudson's ERA was 1.8 something.
In his last 16, 4.87.
Hudson claims he's not tired, that he's just making bad pitches at bad moments. That it's not his age.
He's 39 years old. That's what happens when you're 39; you can't maintain the consistancy you once had. You can have a couple of solid innings, or at bats, but sooner or later, you start missing, and missing badly.
That's why so many 39 year olds are no longer pitching.
We should all be very concerned about Tim. 16 consecutive bad starts normally CAN signal the end of a career.
Let's hope not.

Back early in the season when Hudson was going great, someone at KNBR was saying the Giants shouldn't ride him too hard, that he might wear out.
Tim began to become inconsistent in his first start in August, and he's been mediocre to bad in his last three starts.
