Why am I surprised. I shouldn't be.
After having THE MOST fun watching baseball in my life... the injuries started and now they won't seem to go away.
This song is getting old, and I mean REALLY old.
Every team has injuries... but last year and this year, they seem to hit us where we can afford them the least.
I listened to Sabean prattle on... but it's a bulging disc, for crying out loud, and after all of this time off... he's still not ready to play.
This season is turning into the Rocky Horror Picture Show, only without the good music from the first half of the movie.
To quote Brad: "Dammit, Janet!"

The Giants played well last night -- without either Pagan or Belt. When those guys return, the Giants could theoretically play a lineup with 6 P's and 2 Brandons.
Pagan Panik Pence Posey Pablo Perez Belt Crawford
My guess is that they'll settle for W's instead.

Disagree, big time, Rog. No way Panik hits 2 hole when Belt returns.
Here's my best guess based upon what I've read;
Pence Belt Posey Sandoval Morse Colvin Crawford Hicks (Not my first choice, but Bochy seems locked on to him for some reason. As I said, he's a Black Hole)

You are right that at the present time, Panik will hit 8th when he plays. I would be surprised if he moves up higher than 7th this season when all players are healthy. He may not even move up past Brandon Crawford. Read more: sfgiantsmessageboard.proboards.com/thread/2349/more-same-pagan-expected#ixzz36MkxByFJ

Scutaro went 2-2 with a single and double last night. I know he's not the answer, but it will be nice to see him back with the team. Brandon Belt will be back on Friday, Joe Panik was the only hitter with a pulse against Wainwright last night, so it's not all bad. Bochy is toying with the idea of playing Colvin in CF if Pagan doesn't return quickly, so that will be an upgrade there, the way Blanco is going.

Everytime I see Panik play I'm impressed with his bat head control.
Last night he took on a HOT Wainright... and 3 times he hit the ball hard.
Heck, 2 of them found holes!
Still too early to tell, but the kid, as Roger long has said, looks like he's a keeper.
