Gary Brown went 0 for 4, and Joe Panik went 1 for 5 tonight. Adam Duvall hit his 17th homer, and his two hits put him up to .298. Duvall has never been considered a Giants top prospect, but he's certainly making it hard not to get noticed. If Duvall is called up in September he'll turn 26 about the same time.
(Actually, I'm guessing he'll turn 26 whether he's called up or not.)
The Giants could use a right-handed power hitter coming off the bench. Duvall could at some time become that player. Duvall did play 26 games at 2nd base his first minor league season, but he's really a corner infielder who has played mostly 3rd base.

Mark Minicozzi is also smacking the ball around at Fresno since returning from injury. At San Jose, Chris Stratton finally turned in a big performance, allowing two runs over seven innings with 8 K's.
