This may be rather obvious, but I think it is important to mention the importance of pitching to the Giants. With as many as seven pretty good hitters in their lineup, the Giants may be able to score runs pretty well this season. But I still think they'll need a big improvement in the pitching to carry them.
As for the offense, now that Pablo doesn't need such a big belt and Brandon might live up to his surname, the Giants could have a strong middle of the order. Pagan and Scutaro have been fairly capable in the past, and Morse has actually hit .300 with 29 homers. It would all have to come together, but it IS possible the Giants could become a big offensive team.
More possible than any time in the past decade or so. Not likely, but certainly possible.
And if the Giants could somehow put together big seasons in hitting AND pitching, they could become a truly elite team (at least for one season). On the other side, it's possible they might not improve at all.
But, hey. I'm READY!

It's going to be tough to have a good defense though. If they could just get to average, I think that would be pretty good for them.
