I think the Sox realize they need an almost total rebuild and Sale's their biggest trading chip. If I'm Detroit, I'm taking the money I saved on Fielder and keeping Scherzer. I wouldn't want the Philly pair. Lee's too old and too expensive. Hamels is an underachiever

Boly -- Like you, I'd be FINE with a Burrell or a Ross. THAT'S all I'm expecting, nothing more. Rog -- A platoon of Gregor and Cody would actually be quite good. Cody is a decent fielder, and he crushes southpaws. Gregor is an excellent fielder who can hit righties a little, including getting on base. Two questions with Michael Morse. . Will he be healthy? . Will his bat make up for his horrible outfielder play? If I were the Giants, I would probably move Brandon Belt to left field on the days Morse plays. Morse probably shouldn't be playing a huge amount when the Giants face right-handers, but if healthy, he will. The Giants should probably bat Blanco when he leads off against righties and hit Pagan 7th (or possibly 2nd), but that won't happen either. The Giants can of course somewhat reduce Morse's defensive liabilities by playing him at first and/or using Blanco and Perez a lot as defensive replacements. The Giants' often took Burrell out as early as after two at bats. The Giants should often take that approach with Morse. Burrell struck out a lot, but he got on base. Morse is pretty good at the former, but not nearly as good at the latter. I'm not nearly as excited about the Morse acquisition as I was at first.
