The Giants are one of several teams said to be in the bidding for Tim Hudson.
Hudson saw his season ended last July with a fractured ankle and saw his ERA decline to 3.97. His hits allowed in each of the past four seasons have been below his career average, as have been his walks the past three seasons.
The 38-year-old is said to be looking for a 2-year contract, and it may take that to pry him away from the Braves, whose interest with Hudson is said to be mutual.
Hudson has made $9 million each of the past four seasons, and will seemingly command about that amount per season in his new contract.
Should the Giants be willing to go 2 years with a guy who will be 40 when such a contract would expire?

I touted Hudson as a possibility earlier in the year, but now you have a 38 year old coming off a broken ankle. $9 million? Tough call. But I sure like him alot better than Hughes.

Rog -- Again, Boagie, the word "seemingly" qualifies my statement. I still like the humor, but with the last two misssteps, it's beginning to wear thin for me. I still give you a "good one," but if I run into this again when it has a qualifier, I'm going to have to be less generous. At this point though, still a good one.
