If I was a closer, I would choose this song as my entrance music. It would guarantee the crowd would be lathered up into a frenzy when the inning began after chanting all through the warmup.

I guess closer songs are ok, certainly better than batter walk-up songs. At least there's time to hear more than a few bars of the song. My favorite is Wild Thing from Major League. That worked..

I'm with Allen.
Then again, I think the vast majority of "walk up," "closer" music is lame.
Wild thing was the ONLY song I've ever heard that actually fit the guy.

Boly -- I think the vast majority of "walk up," "closer" music is lame. Wild thing was the ONLY song I've ever heard that actually fit the guy. Rog -- I'm not big on it either, but it's just for fun, and isn't fun what the fans come to the game for? What could be wrong with "Start me up!" for a leadoff man? Heck, for Mariano Rivera, they could have used "Old Man River," although I doubt he would have liked it. But if the players want to use a song to help motivate or jump-start them, maybe that adds to team chemistry.
