BoTchy says that we're getting NO production from our leadoff hitters...
Duh!
How long did it take you do realize this, Bruce?
Sheesh.
Giving a guy time to work out his problems is one thing... but Bruce, you're slow on the up take.
As to his replacement... well, we really haven't got one.
Scutaro? Too slow. IF we had a power team... IF... that would be different.
In 1962, the average speeded Harvey Kuenn lead off... but look who followed HIM!!
Mays-49 HRs Cepeda--35 HRs Felipe--25 HRs...
That wasn't a team that needed speed in the one hole.
We do.
I could live with Pence there, but not for long.
HE doesn't have any better pitch selection that blanco does!
All he has is a lot more pop...
Besides, move him to 1 hole, and who hits 5?
Belt? Please. Just shoot me now.
My new lineup, and it's only out of necessity would be:
And man, this hurts to say:
vs RHP
Scutaro Crawford Pence Posey Fatso Belt Kieschnick CF-Whom ever
Vs LHP
Scutaro Arias Pence Posey Fatso Pill Belt (LF) Torres (only because we have no one else)
Now if I'm the GM...
I bring up Peguero, and HE plays LF vs LHP
I release Francouer and play Perez in CF vs LHP
What have I got to lose?
What BoTchy's been doing HASN'T worked, time to try something new.

Vs LHP Scutaro Arias Pence Posey Fatso Pill Belt (LF) Torres (only because we have no one else) Rog -- Intriguing concept, but I do have a few questions: . If we're looking at player development here, why not play Crawford against lefties so he can improve against them? . Why move Brandon Belt to a position he doesn't play nearly as well as first base? . If the Giants aren't going to use Franceour -- who despite his problems this year might still be the best option for LF in 2014 currently in their system and who would provide veteran insurance if they don't re-sign Pence in right field -- why not bring up Pequero, who likely has the next best shot? . If the Giants are golng to go with the youngsters the rest of the way, why not put Juan Perez in center field against southpaws? . Why not give Arias time at second base? Sorry, Boly, I missed out on your later comments about Peguero and Perez.
Heck, the Giants could put together a lineup of "P's." Posey, Pablo, Pence, Pill, Peguero and Perez.
