I guess this time Krukow is right! Lincecum is back! Congratulations Timmy for your first career no hitter. I'm really happy for him the way he's struggled the last two years, and I guess I'll leave the rest of the superlatives to Rog, because it's really late here back east!

I kinda miss the late posts from the East Coast guys. Cool that you still stay up late and not rely solely on DVR, Rx ~Dood

When they're on a losing streak like lately I don't always stay up, but usually I'm there to the bitter end. My wife wasn't happy with me on that particular evening, because not only did the game end late, Mordy and my son were texting me at 2 AM! I received a firm kick in the rear end when I finally went to bed! Spousal abuse!

How is Mordy? Get him back on the board. I miss the fire and brimstone.

Mark -- I guess this time Krukow is right! Lincecum is back! Congratulations Timmy for your first career no hitter. I'm really happy for him the way he's struggled the last two years, and I guess I'll leave the rest of the superlatives to Rog, because it's really late here back east! Rog -- I'm not ready to proclaim Tim as being back yet. Let's see how does the next several games. I have mentioned here before that Tim was quite good in his first 13 starts after last year's All-Star game, and he was very good in the playoffs. Yet he still wasn't back, as his continued struggles this season have indicate. Before his last start, I mentioned five reasons I thought he was coming back. I predicted a breakout game to his dad. Clearly I liked what I was seeing. But one of the things I liked about his recent performances was that he was issuing hardly any walks. In the no-hitter he issued four free passes and hit a batter. He threw a career-high 148 pitches, which might affect him going forward. Naturally I was excited by his performance. There were many, many good things that happened in it. But I do think it is premature to consider Tim as being back. He's given up more than three runs in only one of his starts since May. The signs are still good -- and some of the signs weren't there in his surge after last year's All-Star game. If I were to bet if Tim is out of his slump and will perform as an above-average starter the rest of the season, I would bet that way. But I'm not sure he's out of his troubles yet. Confident? Yes. Sure? No. Read more: sfgiantsmessageboard.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=1894#ixzz2ZQcj53WE
